This section is dedicated to the wonderful new owners of my lovely kittens.
All our kittens are members of the family, and having updates on them is
so special to us.
A big thanks to everybody for being such wonderful parents to our
furbabies and for all of the great updates.
Hi Jessie,
Macie is doing great. As you said, she is very sweet and adorable.
She loves her cat furniture and will drag her "Da Bird" toy over to
greet me when I come home as she always wants to play. I will send
you a photo soon. She was spayed and got her rabies shot
yesterday. I am thinking that when you have a new litter available I
would be interested in getting a little male kitten as well. Please let
me know when this would be possible.
Thanks Buck
Hi Jessie,
I've been watching your website for the new photos and just now
spotted them - I think Minnee would fit - she seems to be the smallest
hence the name but as long as she has a good personality I would
like to reserve her for me. If not then my second choice would be
Lizzie.
Macie is so delightful - everyone falls in love with her. My sister says
that I won the best kitty jackpot.
Thanks Buck
Hi Jessie,
Things are very well with Macie and Minnie - I will send you a photo
soon. I had Minnie spayed when she was about 6 months old -
however, two weeks ago she showed lots of symptoms of being in
heat. I called the vet to see what was going on but so far have just
played phone tag. It lasted about a week or less and then she was
back to normal. Weird. Any ideas?
They are both very healthy and best of friends. Macie put on quite a
bit of weight after Minnie came but now is getting back to eating
normally. Neither go outside. Macie is very content inside but I know
that Minnie would love to be out - she watches me thru the window
and also meets me at the door each day.
Thanks for your interest.
Buck
Jess,
Here are a few images of Stitch from our big snow storm last week.
We were all home and having fun with each other and the cat! Stitch's
Grandma made him the fancy red cloak, and my daughter Claire
made his crown!
He spent most of the day camped out in front of our glass door
looking at the snow falling. He was amazed! The picture of him
sitting in our snowy backyard was taken because when the kids went
out to play, he was determined to experience the cold snow too.
I'll send a better picture that shows his size and coat soon.
Joanna
Hello Jess and family-
We just wanted to update you on Lizzie's progress. We decided to
keep the name Lizzie as we have been calling her that for months
now. The first day, with the ride from KC and the visit to the doctor
were a little trying for Lizzie, but she adapted very quickly to our home.
She spent the first days primarily in Charlie's room which was perfect
since he had decked it out in preparation for her arrival. There are
plenty of toys, a ramp up to his bed, a large mirror, the new cat
furniture, and easy access to his bathroom, where she eats and uses
the litter box!
We have slowly introduced her to the rest of the house and many of
our friends. She has taken well to everything! She even has her
favorite hiding places -- under my bed, in the girls' closet, and under
the dining room table, where she can observe the outside world.
She is indeed very talkative, as you mentioned, which we just love.
And she is so good when meeting new guests. She is not very
enamored of our dog, however, but Myrtle has been super patient and
we take it one day at a time.
Between my daughters, Charlie, and me, Lizzie is very spoiled! We
are having a great time and are so glad to have her in our family.
On the health side, she eats well, and uses the litter box regularly.
She even loves to climb over Charlie at night and drink from his water
cup! The vet noticed some sores on the inside of her nose, so we are
watching those.
I am including some photos that we took:
We will send you more pictures as we take them. Thanks for
everything - we are so thrilled with the entire experience!
Marjorie
Jess-
Lizzie is doing GREAT! We absolutely LOVE her and so does
everyone who meets her. She has converted many friends who where
formerly skeptical of cats into cat lovers.
Our favorite trick of late is when she opens Charlie's sock drawer with
her hind legs, and then ferociously wrestles a pair of socks to the
death! I am forever finding random socks around the house.
At Easter time, we got a new bunny named Tootie. Lizzie and the
bunny have become fast friends and they chase each other around all
day.
We had Lizzie spayed this past February because she had just gone
into heat and I was worried about her escaping and getting into
"trouble." She went through it without incident. I had forgotten to send
you the papers, but I will look for them and send them as soon as I
can. We are leaving for a family vacation on Tuesday so it will not be
until the end of the month. We have a friend staying at the house with
Lizzie (and the dog, and the fish, and now the bunny) and everyone is
happy.
I am including some photos that I just took of her. I cannot tell you
what a joy she is to our family. I seriously think that she talks to us
and vice versa. Thank you again -- please keep in touch.
Margie
Hello, Jessica!
It's great to hear from you! Everyone is doing just GREAT!! Gabby
and Sly really made themselves at home from day one and seem very
happy. I know that Spencer, Ashley and I are thrilled to have two new
babies in our family! They are both eating well, have no litter box
problems and play a lot. They LOVE the tree that your husband
made for them and are on it constantly. We have it right next to our
patio door so they can climb up there and check out the world while
we're at work and school. Gabby is talking a lot of course and seems
to be the leader of the two. Sly is really laid back and just seems to
go with the flow. Both of them love attention and follow us from room
to room to make certain that they're not missing out on anything. One
thing that we find really funny is Sly's meow. He's pretty big for a
kitten, but he sure has the most pathetic meow you've ever heard! It's
more like a squeek than anything. We have affectionatley nicknamed
him "Squeeker".
Thanks again for the follow up. We are all doing well and just couldn't
be happier - well maybe we could next year with another kitten. :-)
I promise to take some pictures and get them to you soon. Please
keep in touch and keep us posted on the cat show information. We
are interested in looking into that. I'm sure you understand - proud
parents wanting to show off their babies.... :-)
Take care,
Christine
Jessica,
Hey just wanted to let you know Libby is doing great. She loves to run
around the house and plays all the time. She likes to sleep with us and
usually wakes Shanell up around 5 am licking her face. She is a
beautiful wonderful kitten.
We will keep you posted and send some pics later.
Marcus
Hey,
Just wanted to send a quick note letting you know Sidney (Libby) is
doing great and getting really big. You were right about being a lap
cat. She follows Shanell around everywhere waiting to be picked up!
Take care and we will send some pics.
Marcus
Hi Jess,
Rumi is doing great, that's what we've decided to name him, he's just
a little bundle of joy. Very energetic and playful. He doesn't really
like sitting in a lap and being petted, he just likes to stay next to you.
We've confined him to a room for the time being and he's fine as long
as someone's in the room, once we all leave the room, he starts
crying. We have a pretty big, two story house, we are going to
gradually let him out.
So far, it's been great, we really like him, but I don't have my entire
family here, some of them are in India, they'll be back soon. I'm sure
they'll love him as well. So far, nobody is allergic, at least it doesn't
seem to be the case. We'll let you know if something comes up.
We took him to the vet, he was impressed by Rumi. He really liked
his color and soft fur, asked me where I got him from. This was our
first time to a vet and we are glad to have a cat specialist really close
to our house. He's been doing it for 26 yrs. and seems to be quite
knowledgeable when it comes to cats and recognized the breed right
away. We're all very excited to have Rumi, we'll periodically update
you on his status.
Thanks for the little bundle of joy.
Will talk to you soon,
Regards,
Syed.
Hi Jess,
Rumi is doing great, really an ideal cat. He's adjusting great, to
everything. He adjusted just fine with Litter Maid auto litter. Although
I can't see how you would be able to manage it for more than one cat.
Took him to the vet last weekend for a checkup, he currently weighs
5.1 lbs. The vet said he's doing great, he wants to wait a couple
more months before fixing him.
We all really would like to THANK YOU for providing us with such a
wonderful kitten, he's getting so big, it's hard to think of him as a
kitten. Kids are adjusting fine, they love him, but it's still early to tell.
At this point, we can't imagine not having him, but you never know. I
will keep you updated.
I'm a attaching a few pictures. I'll update you every once in a while.
Regards,
Syed.
Hi Jess,
Just wanted to give you an update.
Everyone in my family just loves Rumi. He's getting too much
attention, and I thinking he's becoming a little conceded too...he just
sits in front of the mirror and watches himself for hours, but he's really
handsome so you can't blame him.
As you know, he turned 6 months on 8/11, he lost his teeth and he's
getting a new pair. I took him to the vet, he currently weighs 7.25 lbs
and is ready to be fixed. I think we will wait a couple more weeks
before we fix him, other than that... he's doing great, very
affectionate, but at his own terms.
No misbehaving... uses the litter box all the time, doesn't scratch
furniture or scratch or bite people.. can't get enough of the bugs
though... regardless of whether he's had food or not.. he's ready to
hunt.. all kind of bugs.. from spiders to ants. It sometimes upsets his
stomach, but he recovers pretty fast, he does most of the hunting at
night, so most of the time I don't even know what he's had for late
night supper.
Anyways, I'm attaching a few pictures. Hope you like them.
Regards,
Syed.
Thank-You Jess for the pedigree and pictures of Cobie J. It was
really fun to look at all his family & their names and his 3wk old picture
was so funny! His head looks so huge for his little body! He keeps
getting more handsome every day. The white around his neck is really
coming in nice & his buff color is getting darker. He is the greatest
kitty ever!!! Have a good day. I will send pictures soon.
Sally
Hi Jess,
Cuba is doing great. He follows us around the house – cannot be in a
room without us – soooo cute! He has found himself a favorite spot
on the top of one of our cabinets in the kitchen. Eric’s office is in the
same area, so he likes to nap up there, but as soon as Eric leaves
the room, off he goes to follow – just adorable! He is a little purring
machine and so cuddly! Also, we received the scratching post today
– thanks!
Best regards,
Elizabeth A. Bell
Jess,
I just wanted to let you know how much we LOVE Cuba - he is just the
most amazing kitty! He is a really special spirit - so much fun and so
loving! Not to mention he is just the most adorable thing we have ever
seen! He has settled into his new home just wonderfully and we
absolutely adore him! Thank you!! I will send some pictures later.
Elizabeth
Hi Jess!
Cuba is fabulous! He is sitting here watching me type this to you. He
loves to watch the mouse on the computer screen and often tries to do
a little typing himself - smarty pants! We absolutely adore him!
Thanks again for bringing him into our lives! Attached are some
pictures of our not so little guy. Enjoy!
Elizabeth, Eric and Cuba
Jess,
Hi there.
Brittany and I made it home with Sampson. I went very well.
Sampson talked to us while he investegated the vehicle. While I was
driving he spent most of his time sleeping in the carrier, but when
Brittany took over driving Sampson slept in my arms, purring & licking
my chin.
It was good that he rested in the car, because everyone had a good
time meeting him when we got home. Bella is not impressed with
Sampson, but she loves the furrniture. :) Bella is just keeping her
distance & watching Sampson for now. Jordan is being sure to give
her lots of extra love so she knows her place is secure in the house.
Sampson is set up in my bedroom and has enjoyed our visits into the
living room. He played with the kids & me in the living room for a good
hour or more this morning & then he & I napped together this afternoon.
I am loving having my sweet boy at home with us. He really is a purr
baby. He purrs almost non-stop. It is wonderful.
I want to thank you again. As Brittany said yesterday, he is Purrfecto!
Here are a few pictures for you. I'll keep you updated as he gets
settled in.
Debbie
Jess,
I wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you how much we all love
Sampson. He has already charmed my daughters cat as well. Bella was
really trying to hold a grudge against us for bringing in a new kitty, but
after a full week of Sampson's confident but respectful overtures to her
she has thawed out. She is still reserved around him, but has let
loose enough to do some chasing back & forth down the hall.
I am really amazed at how confident Sampson is. He is not hesitant
with people, other animals or new things. It really tells me what a nice
home he came from. I really appreciate the wonderful little boy he is.
The whole family loves how he gives all the love you give him right
back to you. He is still our little purr-baby & my kids love it when I
bring him in with me in the morning to wake them with his purr.
I've attached a couple of photos taken last week while we were playing.
Take care,
Debbie Trout
Hi Jess,
Sampson has grown in such a big boy.
I got him fixed about a month ago & he did great with it.
We ended up adopting a stray kitten about 2 weeks after we brought
Sampson home. The attached picture shows them together in the window
looking out at the world. I've screwed all the screens in so that my big
boy can't accidentally knock one out & fall.
I've been meaning to e-mail you for a while with how much we all love
our boy. Sampson, Diego (the little stray), and Bella (my daughter's
cat) are a hoot together. They race around the house like it is a race
track.
Thank you so much for my wonderful boy. He has captured everyone's
heart.
I'll see if I can get his neuter paperwork scanned this weekend or next
& e-mail it out to you.
Thanks again for my sweet boy. He is a total love.
Debbie
